Rocky Hansen, a senior at Christ School in North Carolina, took third in the boys invitational 3,200 meters in 8:34.78 at the 55th Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High in California. Hansen eclipsed the North Carolina state record and contributed to the top three times in meet history, along with Simeon Birnbaum of Rapid City Stevens in South Dakota (8:34.10) and Daniel Simmons from American Fork High in Utah (8:34.14).
